Les Galeries: Galeries Lafayette

Galeries Lafayette is perhaps the most known galerie in all of Paris, and probably the most packed one as well. This beautiful department store is always full of people, no matter what day or time it is. But I understand why people come; they have everything. And a little more. Besides clothes, shoes, jewelry, home decoration and beauty products they also have a huge gourmet/food floor, several cafés and a terrace with an amazing view. Yet it’s not my favourite department store in Paris… But definitely worth a visit.

Pros: You don’t easily get lost since everything just goes around. They have an amazing food department where you also find Eric Kayser, Patisserie Sadaharu Aoki and Jean Paul Hevin among others. Their terrace. And of course, the building itself is just magnificent.

Cons: It’s so damn crowded! Don’t even think about visiting when it’s raining — the place is packed.
