Today’s Sweet

Remember this? Well, I got the pastry I was actually buying this time around! The Ispahan from Pierre Hermé. If I think of the words Paris, girly and pastry this is exactly what comes to my mind. Don’t you agree? Unfortunately I think it’s prettier to look at than to actually eat it…

Don’t get me wrong! The macaron itself was yummy, the was raspberries yummy, the cream was yummy but the one thing that didn’t agree with my taste buds was the filling. It was a little bit too “perfumey” for my taste I’m afraid. But I could buy it just to look at it!

Oh my god, it looks gorgeous! And yes, I would buy it just to look at as well.

I ate this TWICE in the short week I was in Paris a month ago! Agree the filling is perfumey, but as a HUGE fan of rose macarons, this felt like heaven in my mouth!

Yes, I also agree about the “perfumey” impression…I think we all just want to have a bite because it’s so pretty! (and then I went for Miss GlaGla…)

  4. It looks amazing! I cant wait to try it even if its a bit “perfumey” in taste. I’ve yet to have a macaron from Pierre Herme yet but I cant wait. Its as much a piece of art as a treat.

Just to beautiful!! Major drool!!! I’ve heard Pierre Hermé is as good or better than Ladurée macarons. Def can’t wait to get my hands on them!!! xx

    • Haha yes, it’s very pretty :) Both Pierre Hermé and Ladurée macarons are good in my opinion. But it all depends on which flavours you pick. Some are better at Pierre Hermé and some are better at Ladurée.

This is one of my favourite patisseries I find it even more delicious to eat than to look at! I’m obsessed with this flavour combination and am working my way through everything Ispahan flavoured 😉 the Ispahan sorbet was so yummy

    Such pretty photos
