Behind Notre Dame

I love this little park behind the Notre Dame. While the madness is always going on by the front of the church this little park is often pretty calm and peaceful. It’s best during early mornings.

In a narrow street near the Notre Dame there is a house which is completely overgrown with wisteria. Beautiful! I have made a picture of it.

Nowadays there aren’t as many leaves on the trees in this area, but it’s still a very charming park! I just discovered you blog. It is beautiful, like Paris itself! I live here now, and have done for two months, but I come from Norway (så jeg regner med at du forstår det om jeg skriver på norsk også, men det passer liksom bedre med en engelsk kommenatr på et engelsk innlegg!). How fun that you are moving to Paris again in December! Welcome back!

I love the benches behind Notre Dame! I used to walk past them every day when I studied at the Sorbonne as my business class was right in front of the cathedral. How amazing is that?! I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would one day be taking a class right in front of the Notre Dame. It’s amazing how so many dreams reside in this city!

  Ah really? I used to walk past them every day as well! Since I lived on Île Saint Louis this was very close by Yes, you’re absolutely right. I never thought that I’d be walking over the Seine every day to get to the métro. We’re very lucky!

The whole area around Notre Dame is kind of magical. I spent hours there, looking at the Seine… And I really think that queuing for going up to the top of Notre Dame is definitely worth it, even if I stood there in the cold about an hour – brrr! Aahhh, I NEED to go back soon!!

  It’s gorgeous! I really need to go up in Notre Dame the next time, I never did during my time in Paris. But I’ve seen photos of the view and it’s amazing!
