Best and Worst

As you might know by now Les Cocottes is one of my favourite restaurants in Paris. But, it’s also one of the worst places ever to photograph at. The lighting isn’t the best (giving all the photos an ugly greenish light) and since all the food is served in cocottes it’s even harder to get a good photo of the dishes. Well, I guess you just have to take my word for it and give the place a try so that you can taste that delicious food on your own.

By the way, the dish in the first photo was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.

  Gosh I don’t remember the name but it was something with potatoes and crab (a starter). It was sooo delicious I’m so glad that you like it as much as I do. It’s really the perfect place to dine both alone and with someone else.

I went to Les Cocottes during my visit in July. Dined solo for all of 3 minutes and subsequently had the funniest time with a kind gentleman who didn’t like seeing me eating alone! Great memories that place

I have the same question as willsheloveparis haha, what is that first dish? I’m curious.

For the greenish light, have you tried switching your camera to ‘tungsten’ under white balance? I always do that in restaurants where the lighting is like that. It helps a lot.

  Yes, I’ve tried every single setting on my camera haha and sometimes it’s better and sometimes it’s impossible. It’s a really tricky place. But thanks for the tip!
