DVF

I’ve gotten many question about the internship and how it’s going so here’s a little update. It’s been super busy and quite stressful so far but it’s also really interesting and fun to see how everything works from the inside. Buyers from all over the world (so far I’ve heard Spanish, Italian, Russian, German, French, English and Arabic being spoken) comes to the showroom to order clothes, shoes and accessories for their boutiques and web shops. The other interns and I dress and style the models and help out with everything necessary. I’ve met so many wonderful and interesting people so far, it’s just an amazing experience. And of course, your fingers are itching sooo bad with all those beautiful clothes around you all the time…

I was one of those models working for a small showroom in Spain…many, many moons ago.

The hours were long and it was exhausting…we would change 100 times a day and were treated like merchandise at times.

Maybe I didn’t enjoy it because I was not a professional model and wasn’t used to it. I just got the job because I was not doing anything at the moment, but it was my debut and retirement as a showroom model…hated it so much!

Enjoy your experience, it must be quite exciting to do it in Paris and for a top designer!

What a wonderful experience. DVF is a great brand and regardless of the stress and long hours you put into, your time there will be priceless!
In any case, I am excited to see the DVF presentation next month I always purchase at least one item from each season and I am sure this time will be no different.
