The Louvre

I have a confession to make. I’ve never actually been inside the Louvre! Oops. I know, I know, I have to go but when you live here you tend to postpone certain things since you know they’ll be there forever (at least I do). But yes, it’s on my to-do list.

I have a confession to make: I have been inside the Louvre only to see the Mona Lisa and then left again. But I was just travelling the city and didn`t have too much time…
Another confession? I grew up living in a country for only a few years at a time, still I managed to postpone some of the major sights to see again and again until I didn`t have the time to actually go see them anymore. And one, the biggest church in the city, I hadn`t even found out about until two years after moving here.

  Haha yes, that’s usually how it goes for me as well! I think it’s because you know that those monuments and sights will always be there so you’re not really in a hurry…

hahaha I have been in there for 25 mins one Sunday with a friend who was travelling and it was just before closing time.. shameful after 2 years!! Im exactly the same though, always thinking ill get to it one day

Oh, you must schedule an entire day (or longer!) and just spend hours wandering and soaking up all the art. It really is magnificent inside. On my last trip there I got “lost” on the 3rd floor and found a museum apprentice painting on a little easel in a tiny side gallery. It was magical, to say the lease.

Tackling the Louvre is a monumental task. When I went there last, I decided to do a self-guided Da Vinci Code tour – it was so much fun and made the museum that much easier to visit.

Another guilty one right here. Only went once for a class excursion but to see a specific exhibition and didn’t even bother to see the rest. Also on my to-see list But it can wait hahaha

Same here! Luckily I’m planning another trip there with a friend in April, so I figure I can finally address the issue then… unless we decide to address the “visit Versailles” issue instead, there’s only so much time in a weekend!

  Var faktiskt där i veckan och det var jätteroligt att se allting Men du kommer in gratis så länge du är under 26 och bor inom Europa tror jag det är! Så himla bra att man får komma in gratis på nästan alla museum
