Yesterday was such a beautiful day! I spent my morning strolling around Saint-Germain in the sun and even though it was quite cold you could feel that spring is on its way. Perhaps it’s not right around the corner but it’s there all right.

  1. These shots are fabulous! Wish I was there… I can feel the sun and the chill… I always love seeing life in action… especially in Saint-Germain…:)
    Have a wonderful weekend… xv

  2. That looks soo pretty! i wish i could be there right now 🙂

I’m not sure if it is okay to pick a favourite, but I must admit that Saint-Germain probably is one of mine. Spring might not be right around the corner, but PFW is. Which in my opinion makes the world just as bright and happy :). Have a nice weekend!

So beautiful, thanks for more photos. Looking forward to seeing all this soon as I sit with 2 feet of snow outside in Connecticut!

  5. Beautiful as always, Carin! The shot of the couple reading the paper at lunch is just spectacular. I’m curious as to what body/lens you typically shoot with. I’m coming back to Paris in March and am thinking my new 50mm might be too tight a lens to use for everyday street shots like this. I could be wrong! Any advice you have would be much appreciated 🙂

    • Thank you so much 🙂 No no, this is all taken with my 50mm lens. I loooove it, and especially for shooting around the streets in Paris. But that’s just me of course 😉

OOOhh Saint Germain! Last time we were in PAris we stayed around there, and it was the best choice! So lively during the day and at nght. Beautiful pictures!

  7. Love this area! Just perfect when the sun shines!

It is so nice that the Parisians love their outdoor cafe in all seasons.

It looks beautiful – stunning photos!

  10. Gorgeous, gorgeous photos, as always! I realise I haven’t wandered around St-Germain since I returned to Paris in January – definitely something I need to add to my to do list! I especially love the shots of the older couple in the café. Great steal 🙂

  11. I love the water fountains in Paris, aren`t they so much more pretty than anywhere else in the world? At least I have never seen any like these before…

  13. I haven’t heard about this place in Paris before, but thanx to your photos I’m sure I’ll check it out when I visit the city next time. Also, I’ve never thought that Paris is so beautiful city, but when I see it throught your eyes (or through your camera lens), slowly I’m figuring out why you are so impressed by the city. Now Paris is my no.1 city beside Prague. 🙂

I’ll be staying in Saint Germain later this year with my wife and daughters. I’m quite excited about the trip after seeing these photos.

    Magnifique!!!

  16. Hi Carin! Paris is one of my favorite cities in the world (and I’m a New Yorker through and through ;)) and it’s wonderful to keep tabs on the city through your great blog. I do love Stockholm, too, being married to a Swede! Keep up the great work and hope to stay in touch! And ps: hope you were able to enjoy a semla today 🙂 xo, Hana

    • Hi there 🙂 I’m happy you like the blog! I’m in love with New York so I wouldn’t mind living there either. Ah really? Of course we’ll keep in touch! Hope to see you around here in the future and I must say I adore your blog, so sweet! xx Carin

Hia I stumbled across your blog on tpf and I am so glad I did.

Adam Gopnik, in his lovely ‘Paris to the Moon’ is awfully funny about the Cafė de Flore and (um) that other one. I wonder all these years later if Francophiles are still reading him.
