Today’s Sweet

Semlor by Call Me Cupcake

Back in Sweden it’s Fettisdagen (or “Fat Tuesday” in English) today. This is a day when you indulge in these yummy treats as seen above, called Semlor. I don’t really know how to describe them except for  “a bun with whipped cream” but that doesn’t do them justice at all. Unfortunately I won’t have the pleasure to nibble on one of these today but if you want to try them I think (!) you could head to the Institut Suédois in Le Marais or make them yourself with this recipe from one of my absolute favourite baking blogs out there, Call Me Cupcake.

  1. You’re killing me with all of these sweets! I will definitely have a very Fat Tuesday myself!

    Tack fina du! <3

Is Fettisdagen similar to Pancake Day in the UK? I am indulging myself in pancakes later, but I would rather be having these treats! xx

Why did you mention this baking blog? I wanna make everything right now and eat it all. 😀
    Such a great blog.
I am sure that I will make something of it.

And you might not have the swedish sweets but therefore all the french ones. 🙂 not too bad I think. 😉

    Have a nice evening.

Svenska Affären nära Pigalle hade färska semlor dagen till ära! Kanske inte längre dock 🙂
