The Seine is just getting higher and higher, taking over more and more of the city each day. Fortunately, I’ve heard that this is “normal” so I shouldn’t worry. But you have to admit that it looks quite scary?

  1. Ohh, mon dieu. That’s actually pretty scary! If they’re saying it’s normal, I think it should be fine. However I am starting to worry that the city is going to sink before I get there in a few weeks!

    Holy cow!!
But yes, even photographing Paris a little flooded looks beautiful through your camera lens.
    Happy Valentine’s!

  4. Wow… “normal”? If this is normal why dont they raise the walls of the Seine or plan on how to prevent flooding damage?
Yes it somehow is still pretty in Paris dispite the water, a testimony to the loveliness of Paris.

It looks scary but very, very beautiful at the same time!

  6. A little bit scary how it’s swallowing up that streetlight, but you make it look beautiful with your pictures anyway 🙂 I love the light colors!

  7. I had no idea that it floods like that! A bit worrisome, but it still looks lovely.

  8. I can imagine..I was in Rome after last year’s floods and everything was ruined and dirty, but I hope it won’t happend the same there. You say it’s normal thing..and the photos are great again 🙂 This reminds me on rainy days in late november which I enjoy so much. Hugs :))

I keep coming back to this post, I can’t believe how high the water has gotten! It’s a good job there are walls along the edges of the river x
