Inside Musée Rodin in Paris

Musée Rodin is one of my absolute favourite places in all of Paris. Especially during spring and summer. There’s something special about this place that just makes me happy. I can’t help but to smile and I always get a good, delightful feeling in my stomach (perhaps that’s sounds a bit weird but it’s a feeling that is quite hard to describe) when I stroll around Musée Rodin and its gardens. I think joy is what it is! I decided to go last week during a sunny morning, although unfortunately the garden’s roses haven’t started to bloom yet but the place is still magnificent. If you’re in Paris you cannot miss out on this place!

Since the first time I visited this museum I’ve said to myself that this is the place I’m going to get married at (which I, by the way, have no idea if it’s even allowed or not) but since I’m no way near getting married (and happy for that) I guess that a big party would do as well. Or it could also work as my new apartment slash house slash castle, I’m not too picky when it comes to these things.

Totally loved this place in Winter let alone Spring! x

It would definitely make a great apartment slash house slash castle, so pretty x

I still have yet to go to the Musee Rodin! Want to be my tour guide there sometime? I’ve got all next week off work (I could take you to Versailles in return!) :)

It looks so different from when I was there just two weeks ago! It’s a shame they don’t allow photography in the main exhibition.

This is where I got engaged! When we came to Paris four or five weeks ago, my boyfriend popped the question in the gardens, in the rain. It was the most romantic thing! http://www.ilikewantneed.com/2013/03/an-open-letter-to-gary-oldman/

I will be sure not to miss it next time I am in Paris, I can see why it makes you feel joyful. Your photos are spectacular, I can never see enough so I am just so happy you are always sharing such gorgeous pieces of Paris.

Beautiful Carin. I always forget about it when I am wanting a beautiful place to wander. It will be on my list for my next trip up! By the way, during my wanderings on Sunday I found myself right outside of Comme a Lisbon….great treat:)

  • Elizabeth Locke

Beautiful, beautiful photos! I will have to add this to my “must see” list in Paris next time.

  • Gabrielle

My absolute favorite place in Paris! You did an amazing job of photographing it. A lot of tourists ended up in my pictures!

  • Demetra

Stunning pictures! You know how everyone closes their eyes and envisions their happy place? Mine is the Musee Rodin, strolling the grounds, staring at the “Gates of Hell”, then getting a coffee across the street. And I know the feeling you describe – I think it’s joy and contentment.

I love the gardens at the Musee Rodin and always try to go when I’m in town… which I will be in a month! Hopefully the gardens will be in full bloom by then.

  • MichelleSafi

So happy to know I will never run out of things to add on my Paris list, there is just sooo much to do!

Great minds, haha…my post is on the Rodin Museum in Philadelphia today! Even though it’s the largest collection outside of Paris, it pales in comparison to this one. Beautiful captures!

  • willsheloveparis

Oh my goodness, what beautiful pictures! I’ve never been to Rodin all these time and have been waiting for the perfect season. If you go again, please take me with you xxx
