Weekend Reading

Staying in bed

The temperatures have dropped drastically here in Paris and it suddenly feels like winter is here even though we’re in the beginning of October. The only thing I feel like doing today is to snuggle up under my duvet and pretend I don’t have anything to do.

•   My super talented sister Sara has finally launched her own Etsy shop for her beautiful illustrations. Don’t miss her blog either!
•   Call me dorky but one of the things I love the most about the fashion shows (yes, except for the clothes of course) are the amazing sets. has gathered the best atmosphere photos from fashion month. My favourites? Louis Vuitton, Dior, Dries van Noten and Stella McCartney.
•   How do I stay in shape in Paris? Well, I don’t. But I wish I could say that this beautiful yoga/dance studio was a part of my daily routine…
•   I love when my favourite photographers visit the city I live it. I love seeing Paris through other people’s eyes. Garance, Shini and Nicole have all been here recently and I’m addicted to seeing Paris through their eyes.
•   The lovely Peony got me dreaming of these tasty potatoes… I’ve never been so upset about my Parisian apartment not having an oven before.

  1. Oooh, it’s SO chilly now! Hope you have a cozy weekend 🙂 I’m always upset my apartment is oven-less, haha.

Ooh a cuddly duvet sounds amazing right now, pity it’s getting warm here in nz. Love seeing my city through new eyes, playing tourist in your own city is also equally great.

I just adore your sister’s illustrations! You are such a creative family! 🙂

I went out for a walk this afternoon, it’s actually less colder than yesteray which was SO cold brrrr. All I need right now is my bed, a very hot tea and a book. Perfect week end hehe. Oh and you should defintely try yoga, it feels really good! Especially when you live in such a crazy (but great) city as Paris. xx

No oven?!! I think I need to know more about that! Thanks for the links Carin; I love your sister’s work. She’s a talent.

  7. Ooo! That yoga/dance studio makes me want to workout (and I’m totally more of a walker/hide in my living room and workout kind of gal). I’ve been eating up Paris posts too! My husband just got back from London and Paris and are already planning on when we can get back. Jamie Beck has been sharing some STUNNING photographs from her trip to Paris too!
