Autumn in Paris

It’s certainly autumn in Paris now. And it’s also freezing cold. The autumn part I don’t mind that much (if you ignore that the winter is getting closer), but the freezing cold part I do have a problem with. For some reason it feels like we’re in the middle of January rather than October at the moment. Yuck! But it’s almost possible to forget about that when it looks so pretty everywhere. Before meeting up with a couple of friends during the weekend I managed to go for a long walk around Jardin du Luxembourg to snap a few photos of the seasons changing.

So beautiful, I can’t wait to be back in Paris on Saturday :)

  2. I took some similar photos a few weeks ago in the Tuileries when the leaves were *just* starting to turn. But I’m using yours as a tutorial because I aspire to get my photography to the same level as yours! I love that while you have loads of natural talent, you obviously also practice, practice, practice :) http://lynncroyable.blogspot.fr/2013/09/paris-in-photos-tete-tete-in-tuileries.html

  3. Such beautiful colours. There has been a sudden temperature drop here in England and I’m not happy about. Yet the tree around where I live are still oddly green!

I’m following you on IG for some time now but I’ve never visited you blog before today and I regret it. Amazing pictures. I’ll add you to my blogroll (I just opened a blog hihi).

  9. Phuong    October 15, 2013

Such beautiful burnt orange colours! I can’t wait for your winter images! I’m imagining beautiful snowy white white white! (It’s exciting for be mostly because it doesn’t snow here in Australia!)

I am so in love with this whole set! But yes, the freezing cold is definitely not fun right now. Where are our crisp, sunny fall days?

  13. sivan    October 15, 2013

Gorgeous. My favorite park in Paris. Can I ask which lens did you use? Thanks

  14. I used to live right around the corner from Jardin du Luxembourg – I would do my runs around the perimeter of the park. It’s beautiful in spring of course, but it has a certain extra charm in autumn with all the golden leaves, in my opinion. :)

  15. chocolatecookiesandcandies    October 15, 2013

I know what you mean. One week it was nice and balmy – 17˚C and then suddenly, it dropped below 10˚C. I’m still in denial :( I hope this coming winter won’t be like the last which just went on and on and on.

  16. I’m completely in love with your photos. Those ones are just wow. Makes me think that I haven’t been at the Luxembourg for a while! Defintely have to go back.

    These pictures are beautiful Carin!
Did you change camera or lens? I noticed the quality of your pictures has improved :) (sorry if my english isn’t very well)

    • Thank you so much. No, I’ve had the same camera and lens since January now. But I’ve bought the newest version of Photoshop recently since I’ve had the oldest version of Photoshop imaginable for forever.

  30. Suzana S.    October 15, 2013

I’ve visitid Paris in May and it was unforgetable! While looking these gorgeous pictures, I feel such nostalgy! This fall I doubt I will manage to visit, but next fall – Paris here I come!

  31. My these photo’s are truly breathtaking! Reminds me just how much I love autumn. Shame it’s so freezing cold though, it makes me stay inside here in Brussels as well. I love how little people there are in the photo’s, gives it this extra timeless touch, like time froze for just a moment.

  32. Divine photography! Magical, beautiful, gorgeous! I’m just in love!

  33. Oh, Paris is so beautiful! And your photos made me dream about the time I was in Paris, it was autumn too! Wonderful photos! Thanks for sharing with us the beauty you see! ; )

  34. Gorgeous! I adore autumn, and it looks particularly wonderful in Paris! But luckily for me, we are in sunny Spring here in Sydney, Australia and I couldn’t be happier!

  35. Gosh Carin, your photos are honestly painfully beautiful. There’s just something about them-I guess I just love fall, and the changing colors and the leaves and all, and of course it’s 10x more beautiful in Paris-but you’ve just captured it all so beautifully. Freezing or not, I would love to visit Paris in autumn!

  36. This October has seriously been one of the coldest in years! Usually things don’t get this cold till February hits, so I’m getting a bit frightened about what might be ahead. Fall certainly is a lovely time of year…

  40. I wish I had your weather now. Believe it or not, the weather here in Egypt is so stale and hot, it feels like spring. I can’t wait until the freezing weather arrives.

The photos are absolutely beautiful. You have such an amazing eye for all things wonderful, and you succeed at showing them in your camera lens. Great job. x
