Dessert Night

When the lovely Katie invited a couple of girls over for a “bring your own dessert evening” the other day I decided to pay a visit to Odette since my kitchen isn’t equipped with an oven (I know, welcome to Paris). Even though they couldn’t compare to the homemade blondie brownies, delicious cheesecake or dreamy lilac pavlova (by our one and only pavlova queen of course) they’re still a favourite of mine, and I always try to find any excuse possible to swing by for a visit. Psst! Don’t miss the caramel flavoured cream puff — it’s my favourite.

Today my dad and sister are arriving in Paris to spend a few days together with me before we meet again in Stockholm over the Holidays. I’m hoping for a lot of yummy restaurant visits, cosy strolls around the city and one or two ice creams from Pozzetto.

We just got an oven after 2+ years in Paris without, and I swear I’m using that thing *every day*! It was probably better for the waistline not to have one ;)

Most of my friends that stayed in Paris didn’t have an oven, luckily I was living with my aunt at a big house and she had one so I baked a lot of cakes there :) Enjoy your time with your family, when my parents were there with me we went to Chartier it’s a really nice restaurant, I advice you to try it!

I can’t imagine not having an oven, not having a bathtub (only a shower) at one point was bad enough for me! These look absolutely lovely though, perhaps I wouldn’t mind not having an oven if it meant I had an excuse to go out and buy treats. I hope your family time is lovely, too!

These dessers look Amazing. But wow, I can’t imagine not having an oven. That being said, it would TOTALLY be worth it to live in Paris!
