I’m so excited to share the photos I took during my day at the Gucci Paris Masters, which I attended this weekend. The Gucci Paris Masters is one of the most prestigious show-jumping events in the world and brings together people and competitors from all over (I even heard Swedish being spoken for a second and felt right at home). I’ve never attended something like this before so it was a first for me, but I certainly hope that it won’t be the last since it was such a grand experience. I don’t think I’ve mentioned it here before but when I was younger I used to horseback ride during several years, so the minute I stepped inside the stables a ton of memories came rushing back to me. Combine that with a brand like Gucci and I was in heaven.
I absolutely loved spending the day together with these beauties and all the impeccably dressed and super stylish riders. Getting the chance to take a stroll through the stables with my camera and photograph adorable little ponies and champion horses, lusting after beautiful items in the Gucci pop-up store, almost bumping into Bruce Springsteen, nibbling on several caramel macarons from Hugo & Victor and watching the horses warm up before finally seeing some of the best ones compete by the end of the day was so incredible. I honestly got so into this whole competition after a few hours that I stood along the side cheering all of them on. The winner of the Grand Prix Gucci? Kevin Staut (who you can see in the second to last photo on his white, absolutely beautiful horse).
Apart from the beautiful horses I also fell in love with those stunning leather boots, which still haunt my mind, as well as the limited edition silk scarf designed by Frida Giannini, exclusively for this event, and amazing Gucci saddle (and I don’t even have a horse to put it on, ha!). All in all, I had a fantastic day that I wish didn’t have to come to and end. It was surely a different way to spend a Sunday in Paris, but it was so much fun. Thank you Gucci for having me!
