Parisian Door

Those of you who have been following along here for a longer time probably know about my obsession with Parisian doors by now (otherwise you can go back in time and look through a few examples here and here). And when I took a stroll around the Marais neighbourhood together with Nicole earlier this fall I wasn’t surprised that she fell in love with these doors just as much as I once did.

Even though I prefer shooting the more “editorialstories I have to admit that we have loads of fun when shooting simpler things like this together as well, and it’s always nice to get some variation, right? I can’t wait until I get to shoot more fashion (and more Nicole of course!) again in January. Where do you think we’ll end up this time? A hint: it’s a city I’ve been dying to visit for ages now, I’ve never been before so I’m extremely excited about finally getting to explore and photograph this place.

For more photos and outfit details, please hop on over to Nicole’s blog.

  1. Gorgeous! It’s so fun to capture details like these! :)

  2. Agreed! Paris has the best doors and knockers. Strangely enough, in Rome I was obsessed with the door buzzers.

  3. I think pinned all of these when they were on Nichole’s blog. You seriously take some of the best photos, I need to be your disciple! Ha.

Oh good! I’m glad I’m not the only person obsessed with doors AND knockers. I looked back to all my photos and I couldn’t believe how many were of doors 😛

  5. Beautiful! I love the aged character and the perfect imperfections of the doors!

Stunning photos again, I love to take photos of doors and especially balconies too!
I am thinking about the city you’ll visit in January. Is it maybe Amsterdam? (Amsterdam Fashion Week?)

I love it when you post pictures of doors! The way you photograph it, makes the doors look way much more interesting and it inspired me to open up my eyes to little details we took for granted daily.

    Cheers!

  12. I never noticed the doors, but apparently everything in Paris is pretty, even the doors :) Can’t wait to see the next city you go to!

  14. Everything about the buildings in Paris are so lovely. I have fallen in love with wrought iron, door knobs, handles, and of course the hidden courtyards. These photos are so lovely!
