Ever since moving to Paris for the very first time I’ve kept a little list over places I’ve been wanting to see and visit. This is a never ending list and it only seems to get fuller. I’m actually adding places faster than I can tick them off… But that’s fine with me since I’m in no hurry to leave this place at the moment. Gosh, that feels good to say. Anyways, one of the things that’s been on my list ever since spending my first four months in this city has been to visit the Promenade Plantée. Since I adore both flowers, parks and Parisian buildings I can’t really come up with a better combo for me (or an excuse to why I haven’t visited this place earlier). Promenade Plantée is Paris‘ version of New York‘s popular High Line – meaning an old abandoned railway line that has been made into a little promenade, which makes this just a lovely place for a little stroll. I haven’t really gotten a lot of time to just walk around the city by myself lately but luckily I managed to squeeze in a little morning walk yesterday with just myself (and my French audio tapes in my headphones) as company.

  11. Have you seen ‘Before Sunset’? The photo of the woman with baguettes, I swear that is where one of their scenes took place.

Your photography is absolutely stunning. Easily one of the most captivating photography blogs I know of.

  12. Only in Paris could you turn a former railway line into a fairy tale. Lovely! You did a splendid job despite the overcast weather – this is definitely something I struggle with.

    • Haha, well in New York as well 😉 Thank you so much. I actually find that it’s sometimes easier to shoot when there’s not too much sun. I can never do harsh sun in photos :p

  13. What a lovely place! So jealous of all the blooming flowers… still stuck under a layer of snow here, but getting there.

  20. Ah, your photos are gorgeous. It feels so good to look at them and take in all the beauty and Spring magic of Paris. I lived there for a year and a half until last June and I’m delighted to come here, reminisce, and immerse myself back into the beauty of a city I love. Strangely enough I’d never heard of this promenade. Thank you for sharing this goodness!

YES! Some new blossom wallpapers for my iPhone en iPad! Thanks 🙂 Your photography is so amazingly 🙂

  27. Excellent idea to visit the Promenade Plantée in the Spring, last time I was there was in Winter, still just as beautiful but it was cold plus the elevator for my friend and her stroller was (seemingly permanently) out of order! Thanks for reminding me to visit again in Spring!
