It’s probably the worst luck in the world to start shopping for home decoration before you even have a home, right? Yeah, I thought so… But since I’m leaving for vacation in July there’s no time to loose here. I’ve never decorated my own apartment before since I’ve yet to rent something completely unfurnished. I have to admit that I’ve never been much of a decoration expert though (despite working at ELLE Decoration in Sweden before picking up my life and moving to France, which might seem a bit odd) but that doesn’t stop my excitement! After our darling Lauren – who by the way, knows absolutely everything about what’s going on in this city – took me to the Swedish café that I told you about a while back, she also showed us the home decoration shop La Trésorerie, just next door. After that first visit I’ve been back several times to lurk around for myself. Now, I don’t usually like to spend my money on pots and pans but oh, how tempting that feels at the moment… Is that what you call growing up?

I always love to imagine how I would decorate my future home, so I understand it’s pretty exciting to be finally able to do that! 🙂

Yes I think so! 🙂 I now spend much more money on homeware than I ever did before! And I actually find it rather satisfying too… At least pots & pans never get too tight for me 😛

Yes, that’s growing up : ) but aren’t you excited to be able to decorate your house however you want? the bad thing about a furnished house is that you have to stick with what you have. I think it doesn’t feel like your own house until you furnish it. I can’t wait to be able to decorate my own!

Soon will go pick my new cutlery 🙂 Nice hints, thanks.

  6. haha, I actually do it too because I get too excited. Sometimes it will help your motivation to search again? x

  7. Love it! I remember shopping for kitchen supplies and home decor when i was searching for my own apartment. It’s so fun! All a part of the excitement! 🙂

  8. Ha! That is definitely what you call growing up. We just moved into our first ‘real grown up’ apartment and it has felt incredible wanting to shop for things for it. Before, I never much cared, but now that I love where I live, I want to fill it with items I love just as much. I knew I was a grown up when I got excited about the stainless steel trashcan we purchased for our kitchen…

  9. Is this heaven?

  10. You are amazing xx

  11. Yes, that’s exactly what you call it. And it’s fun!!

  12. Yes it is growing up. I can not wait till I can decorate my own apartment. beautiful photos by the way. x
