Reminiscing about this spectacular day, photographing the Dior Haute Couture show earlier in July while shooting a special little story for W Magazine as well. Every time I look at the photos from this show I find myself gasping (not because of my own photography talents, don’t worry) because of how much work really goes into putting on a show like this and how incredibly beautiful the outcome can be. Perhaps my head is still stuck in the tiny movie theatre where I saw the movie Dior and I the other day – a must for anyone with the slightest interest for fashion, haute couture or Dior.
As soon as I got to Sydney the lovely Grace picked me up from our little AirBnB gem in Tamarama Beach and drove us this adorable spot. Anyone who brings me to a place that serves scones, jam and croissant French toast (yes, it was a first for me as well but definitely not the last time) knows me too well. After indulging in fresh fruit, healthy omelettes and quinoa ever since arriving in Australia (those are things we just don’t come across that easily in Paris) scones, carbs and butter was definitely what I craved. It’s so nice being close to the ocean while enjoying breakfast with friends – something I wish I could bring with me back to Paris.
